Album Review: Kat Perkins: DRIVE

Kat Perkins is a musician which most of us know from the show, ‘The Voice’; before that she spent her time playing a variety of venues. Undeniably she has a good voice and good music that will lead to a long and successful career in music. Kat Perkins' album Drive is a hard hitting rock ’n’ roll album! This eight track album is a rock lover’s good vibration of music and will become a staple in any collection. The different beats and melodies provided from guitars and drums along with the raspy and sexy vocals from Kat Perkins will make one drool. This will quickly become a favorite for many. Let’s break it down a little.

Chatting with Kristin Pinell of The Grip Weeds; A Woman with a Guitar and Man

Having been creating and making music for more than ten years, New Jersey's The Grip Weeds, have released ten full-length albums. It's a pretty interesting tale of how their new and sixth studio album came together, including how it was influenced by John Lennon and a small film he acted in. Named after John Lennon's character in the film How I Won the War, Musketeer Gripweed, the band's goal was to make up for what the film lacked with their newest album. Considered an explorative concept album, How I Won the War, might be the band's most ambitious work yet. The amazing and talented rip-roaring guitar playing on these fabulous songs isn't a man, but one heck of a woman, named Kristin Pinell.
