Husband and wife duo Carolina Story (Ben & Emily Roberts) have announced national tour dates in support of their upcoming album Lay Your Head Down, due out July 13th, via Black River Americana.
Lay Your Head Down has been heralded by Rolling Stone Country, naming it one of their “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know,” and Billboard, among other publications. Check out the video for their new single “We Were Young Once Too” filmed at the duo’s family farm. Watch the video below:
The duo worked hard to get this album to come to fruition, as they had almost called it quits, working different jobs the last ten years, and growing their family with the birth of their two children. Serendipitously, when Ben was about to start graduate school, they were offered a record deal by Black River Americana. This became their chance to bring music back into their life again. All of the songs on Lay Your Head Down were written by the duo, and the album recorded at Sound Stage in Nashville, Tenn., and produced by Nick Autry.
The duo will hit the road on July 19 in support of the new album, and kick it off in Nashville with a performance at The Black River Stage at The Well Coffeehouse on July 12. They will also have a return performance at the famed Grand Ole Opry stage on July 14. The full list of the duos tour dates are available below.
