Artist Applications for 2016 SXSW Showcases Open Jne 29

For those of us fortunate enough to attend SXSW, it seems like it was just ysterday that we wandering all over Austin catching performances by some of our favorite bands and even finding new up and coming artist. Well, get ready because SXSW will begin applications for artists wishing to perform in a 2016 SXSW Showcase.

Mark your calendars: artist applications for the 2016 SXSW Music Festival will open on Monday, June 29.

Details from Official SXSW website:

Sonicbids will return as the official SXSW Music Festival application platform for 2016. Once you set up your Sonicbids Electronic Press Kit and apply for SXSW 2016, your band will have access to a vast network of promoters and booking agents which will enable you to look for gigs outside of SXSW.

The initial application fee will be $33. More information on application deadlines will be announced on a later date.

Each year, the SXSW Music Festival presents a great opportunity to network with industry pros and perform with thousands of artists from all over the world. More than 2,200 showcasing artists performed at SXSW this past March, with nearly 600 of those acts representing 62 countries outside of the U.S.
