One of the most recognized female artists in bluegrass today who was crowned “The New Queen of Bluegrass” by the Wall Street Journal in 2000, Rhonda Vincent continues in the “family” business of bluegrass music. She comes from a long generation of Vincents that had music in their blood – The Sally Mountain Show, as well as hosting the Sally Mountain Bluegrass Festival since 1987. She's a talented multi-instrumentalist playing mandolin, fiddle and guitar.
The initial 75 person lineup and programming for the 2015 ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO, to be held April 30 through May 2 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles, has been announced. Now in its 10th year, the ASCAP EXPO gives new music creators access to a world-class gathering of music talent for three days of panels and discussions dedicated to the craft and business of songwriting, composing and producing.
It was announced today via press release, that PRS Guitars is opening its new “West Street East” Museum Room and retail store and will begin free public tours of the Stevensville, Maryland manufacturing facility.
The indie pop/Americana artist, Hilary Scott (with one “L” which she will explain later in the interview) is based in St. Louis, MO, and released her 11th recording Freight Train Love last Fall which was recorded, engineered and mixed by Johnny Lee Schell (Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal,) in his studio, Ultratone Studios, in Los Angeles. Scott is signed with Belltown Records.
