Interview with Jillian Riscoe of Red Velvet Crush

The band Red Velvet Crush from Kansas City, MO, comprised of band members Jillian Riscoe and Daniel Mendala, spent most of 2014 touring with their debut in Nashville and then continuing throughout the Midwest.  And ... they don’t seem to be slowing down this year. We can expect more shows, some new music later this year, as well as more music videos.

South by Southwest (SXSW) Expands 2015 Music Gear Expo

The SXSW Music Gear Expo will return to the Austin Convention Center on Thursday, March 19 - Saturday, March 21 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. in Exhibit Hall 5 and is open to registrants, showcasing artists and the general public with a free Guest Pass available in advance or onsite.

One such band that I happened to find out about online comes out of the New York City area, and is called Jane Lee Hooker. If you go by just the name, you'd be thinking of them as a female tribute to one of the great male blues guitarists of all-time, John Lee Hooker.

Interview with Rachel Pearl

Rachel Pearl, the beautiful and talented redhead based in Nashville, plays the guitar and ukulele, and travels the US performing some of good ole jazz standards, some Top 40 tunes, and sprinkling in some of her original jazzy and poppy tunes, as well.  We met Rachel several years ago at the Luna Guitars booth at the Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, California and have been following her ever since, having recently seen her perform at the Summer NAMM Show last July in Nashville.
