Book Review: Love Live Forgive: Insights from Artists

JUSTIN ST. VINCENT is the Director and Founder of Xtreme Music: where Music meets Spirituality, based in Auckland, New Zealand. His book trilogy and global series exploring “The Spiritual Significance of Music” (2009-2012) features exclusive interviews with many of the world’s most visionary musicians and writers.”

His new book, “Love Live Forgive: Insights from Artists” is a collection of interviews by over 100 artists from around the world. Each artist was asked  the following questions in five chapters titled, Artistry, Love & Forgiveness, Compassion & Healing, Transformation, and Unity:

“How can art/music transform our capacity to love and forgive?”
“What positive values does art/music communicate to the world?”
“How has your own creative life impacted or transformed your values?”

I believe that this book about the power of music to transform our lives and motivate us, or how music has helped individuals with their struggles and inspire them — or even nations — to change is an important concept that each of us as artists or music lovers need to recognize and remember.

There are quite a few guitarists in the book, and what I truly appreciate is that some are well-known and others are not, but that regardless of who you are or where you come from, your musical journey or story may inspire or pass on some important values.

Plus the FREE eBook is available from: www.LoveLiveForgive.org and his first book trilogy is available from: www.XtremeMusic.org

Disclaimer:  I was fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in this book, and you can read my interview at: http://www.loveliveforgive.org/katrina-johansson/
