(Los Angeles, CA – May 20, 2022) Los Angeles-based R&B songstress Sha’Leah Nikole announces the upcoming release of her anticipated sophomore EP, entitled Work of heART, on all music streaming platforms on May 27, 2022.
Wanting to create a project that best encompassed her emotional, spiritual and musical growth since her debut EP was released, the songwriter took her time to meticulously craft all six tracks on Work of heART. Each song uniquely highlights Nikole’s personal high and low moments, with the help of melodic beats and passionate lyrics. This upcoming release demonstrates the artist’s lifelong love of creating art that is both uplifting and thought-provoking.
Although richly intimate, the songs on Nikole’s new EP are relatable as they cover universal themes including the importance of community, culture, self-acceptance and love. The songstress says, “Work of heART is my latest body of work. It’s been five years since my last EP and I have lived a lot of life in those 5 years. I’ve experienced love, heartbreak, self-growth, and a pandemic! So this project is my heart’s release. I have never been more of an artist than I am now. So the title Work of heART is very fitting.” The songwriter concludes “I hope people are inspired.”

To celebrate the EP release, Sha’Leah Nikole has partnered with community-based platform, Indie Nights LA, to present WORK OF HEART, an interactive music and art exhibition taking place May 27th from 6 pm -10 pm. Hoping to introduce the future of both music and art to the community which their art is inspired by, the songwriter has provided a space to celebrate local artists of color who are making a difference.
