(New York, NY) Today, Emily Kinney releases ‘Oh, Jonathan,’ her minimal and yearning new album that offers the deepest look yet at the psyche of the singer-songwriter and actress Paste called the “Best of What’s Next” and Esquire declared a “double-threat musician you need to know.”

From “Runaway” to “Drunk and Lost,” these disarmingly breezy pop songs follow Kinney’s journey to face and understand the many facets of unrequited love and lost youth. A concept album of sorts, the record was inspired by the titular Jonathan, also the star of the somber “Boy Band Hero.” This is the next step in Kinney’s growth as a songwriter, and “Mermaid Song” encapsulates the synth bliss and new sonic territory she explores on her most vulnerable record yet.

Next month, Kinney kicks off her 40-date ‘Same Mistakes’ theatre tour where she’ll debut much of ‘Oh, Jonathan’ on stage as well as playing fan favorites from previous releases ‘This Is War’ and ‘Expired Love.’ Full touring dates are below.
