MERIDIAN, MS — It’s official: Peavey Electronics’ MAX® bass amplification series has received a Music Inc. Editors Choice Award from 2018 Summer NAMM. The yet-to-be-released series was highlighted in Music Inc. magazine’s August issue, which showcases the best products from the annual show. This special recognition further positions the Peavey MAX series as one of the year’s most highly anticipated product launches in the guitar amplification category.
Among the thousands of products featured at the 2018 Summer NAMM show, the Peavey MAX bass amplification series was one of just 40 products and services, and one of only two bass amp products, selected for this edition of the Music Inc. Editors Choice Awards. The recognition from industry experts speaks to the Peavey MAX series’ high-quality construction and unique characteristics. As described by the editorial staff in Music Inc.’s August 2018 issue, “Peavey Electronics’ new MAX bass amplification series boasts a durable yet lightweight construction while delivering power and high tonal quality.”
One of the key features of the MAX series is the angled baffle, which allows players to direct the sound at their ears and not at their feet. While the low end is omnidirectional, the transient is directional, meaning players can hear themselves clearly without having to tilt their amp back. Smart design combined with a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio make the four models of the Peavey MAX bass amp series smart choices for any player. The MAX 100 has a 10-inch woofer and delivers 100 W, the MAX 150 has a 12-inch woofer and delivers 150 W, the MAX 250 has a 15-inch woofer with high-end tweeter and delivers 250 W, and the MAX 208 has two 8-inch woofers and delivers 150 W.
The Peavey MAX bass amplification series is scheduled to ship to stores in the late fourth quarter of 2018. More information about the line will be available at www.peavey.com.
