AMERICANAFEST® kicks off to a great new start with popular acts

AmericanaFest® hosted even more exciting events with these highlights on Saturday, Sept. 15.

AMERICANAFEST® kicked off with a strong start yesterday with several events featuring NPR, a happy hour, and more special events featured at iconic locations throughout Nashville. Highlights from the kick-off included NPR, World Cafe and WMOT Kick-Off Party broadcasting live from The Local, featuring live Americana music from artists Ruston Kelly, The Accidentals, The Black Lillies, Nicki Bluhm, and more.

In addition to the NPR and more kick-off, Concord Music Publishing hosted a live music event with free drinks, featuring music from duo Hush Kids (featuring Jill Andrews of the everybodyfields), musician Sarah Siskind, singer and songwriter Caroline Spence, and Matthew Perryman Jones.

Lastly, the exciting Toronto-based singing group, CHOIR! CHOIR! CHOIR! EPIC! EPIC! NIGHTS hosted a group performance featuring secret special guest, Brandi Carlile. The group encourages celebration of music and pushing the boundaries between practice and performance, artist and audience, and much more.
