“There’s a lot of frustration, navel-gazing sadness and anxiety in today’s pop. MILCK tries something else: unabashed anthems of protest and uplift” – TIME MAGAZINE

Since the release of her new Into Gold EP, Atlantic Records singer-songwriter-activist MILCK, has shared a quintet of avant-garde movement videos to illustrate the transformative journey of the EP.

The project starts with “If I Ruled The World,” and as the EP unfolds, listeners are able peel back the layers of MILCK’s story, revealing stages of heartbreak and vulnerability as well as the internal revolution she went through to arrive at the confident and joyous lead single. While deeply personal, the EP is also a universal lesson in how to show up for ourselves in order to be a positive force for others.

MILCK kicked off the series of videos with the EP’s inspirational opening track, and the final video in the series, “If I Ruled The World.” The moving and poignant video premiered on LADYGUNN, who called the single “jovial with a gospel, chanting rhythm that grows on your heart with every beat.” The second video arrived via V Magazine for the title track “Gold” which V Magazine described as “as personal and reflective as it is relatable and inclusive.” Critical acclaim continued with the third video of the series which premiered on Buzzbands LA who praised the “intensely personal” project as a whole. This sentiment was soon echoed by TMRW Magazine which premiered the following video in the series, “Slow Fade.” TMRW hailed the project “an evocative effort” where MILCK “stripped herself emotionally bare to convey compassion, whether for herself or others, and sounds exquisite while doing so.” The quintet was completed with the release of “Don’t Make It Easy” which arrived via Idolator this past Friday. The last video to be released in the series is actually the beginning of the songwriter’s transformation. “Don’t Make It Easy” is “a gut-wrenching snapshot of the moment something sacred shatters,” wrote Idolator. All five avant-garde, expressive visuals are streaming now via MILCK’s official YouTube channel HERE.

“Inner peace begets outer peace,” says MILCK. “I’ve realized in my journey that the only way to bring change into this world is by first healing and respecting myself. And I hope my music is the soundtrack to each gentle rebel’s journey towards becoming the change he/she/they wants to see in the world.”

Produced by GRAMMY® Award-winner Malay (Frank Ocean, Sam Smith, Lorde, Zayn), Into Gold instantly received critical acclaim with TIME naming “If I Ruled The World” one of the best songs of the week and celebrity supporters Reese Witherspoon and Sophia Bush showering MILCK with praise across social media. Sophia Bush personally connected with the song, describing it as “a SOULquake” and going on to say “It’s exactly how I want to center the way I move, and love, in the world.”

Over the last three years, MILCK has performed alongside such like-minded artists as Ani DiFranco, Amy Shark and her multiple GRAMMY® Award-winning Atlantic Records labelmate, Jason Mraz. Due to overwhelming demand, MILCK will be performing two special live shows at Hotel Café in Los Angeles on March 4th. Today, MILCK announced that she will also be bringing her incredibly beautiful live show to New York on March 16th at Lola. She is looking forward to celebrating Into Gold with additional live dates later this year. For updates, please visit www.milckmusic.com/new-events/.
