NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nashville-based singer / songwriter Paige King Johnson just hit her first milestone en route to stardom with the announcement that her debut single “Water Down The Whiskey” reached #29 on the Music Row Chart. The song is the North Carolina native’s reflective tribute to her classic country roots, mixed with her own modern edge to songwriting and the art of storytelling. After releasing the music video, which premiered with Center Stage Magazine, Paige has continued to gain momentum across the country leaving fans thirsting to hear more of “Water Down The Whiskey.”
“When I released this song, I had high hopes of it connecting with people,” says Johnson. “It was my first release to country radio and I never expected such great support from so many people. To meet folks from all over the United States who are requesting “Water Down The Whiskey” on their local radio stations absolutely blows my mind!”
Johnson recently performed live on Today In Nashville and at The Local in Nashville during a groundbreaking live showcase during the 2020 Country Radio Seminar (CRS). Along with maintaining a busy touring schedule, Paige will be hosting her first annual, Country Yard Party in Angier, North Carolina on May 16. She will also be appearing at the 4th Annual Music For Wishes concert in Somerset, Kentucky later this fall benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The recent Belmont University graduate is ready to spread her wings and chart new territory with grit and honesty. Her new single channels the sensitivity of Kacey Musgraves while dishing out the unapologetic nerve of Miranda Lambert.
