HULDER: The Eternal Fanfare From Black Metal Soloist Now Streaming; MLP To Drop This Friday Via 20 Buck Spin + US Tour With Skeleton To Commence July 9th

The Eternal Fanfare mini-LP from black metal soloist HULDER is streaming in full via 20 Buck Spin. The premiere comes in advance of the offering’s release this Friday, July 1st.
With the release of her Godslastering: Hymns Of A Forlorn Peasantry full-length, HULDER made it known that the pure traditional black metal of earlier releases could be classical, rich in detail and creatively novel once again. A triumphant debut that indicated much more to come. On The Eternal Fanfare, HULDER expands the scope laid out on her Godslastering: Hymns Of A Forlorn Peasantry debut, taking the production value to new places with more low-end depth and forceful resonance. The songwriting capability continues to sharpen into a dense confluence of her disparate influences such as on the cinematically expansive “Burden Of Flesh And Bone” and “Sylvan Awakening” to the cold stormblast ferocity of the title track. Opener “Curse From Beyond” is a celestial atmospheric piece akin to Dead Can Dance at their most mysteriously plaintive while the pensive lament of closer “A Perilous Journey” concludes The Eternal Fanfare with an aura of melancholic finality.
BrooklynVegan lauds HULDER’s “dark, evil, tornadic black metal,” while Nine Circles notes, “HULDER certainly knows how to deliver a forceful, tightly woven black metal album… The Eternal Fanfare shows that injecting a more robust production doesn’t take away from the general necro vibe, and that – done right – there’s still vitality in a sound folks starting railing against almost as soon as it came out.” NoobHeavy writes, “it’s timeless in many ways… you won’t confuse their sound for anyone else’s. It’s excellent and subtly unique stuff.” Adds Wonderbox Metal, “The songs are frosted and rich, offering a substantive journey into deep blackened waters that range from the beautiful and sublime, to the downright menacing.”
Stream HULDER’s The Eternal Fanfare at THIS LOCATION.
The Eternal Fanfare will be released on CD and digitally July 1st with the vinyl edition to follow on July 29th. Find preorders at the 20 Buck Spin page HERE or Bandcamp HERE
