As seen in Guitar Girl Magazine Issue 21 – Fall 2022
Following the release of Nikki Stringfield’s first signature model with Schecter Guitar Research released at the NAMM show in 2016, her second signature model dropped in 2020 — a purple burst called “Maiden Mist.” This model is made from swamp ash and has a Floyd Rose 1500 series, a Sustainiac, a Schecter NS-1 bridge pickup, glow-in-the-dark side inlays, and the ebony fretboard has a beautiful combination of mother-of-pearl vines with an abalone skull at the twelfth fret. My newer model is much thinner and lighter than my previous model, but still has the same heavy tone!
“I really tried to design my dream guitar to have everything I wanted, but I also wanted to make a guitar that other people would love as well!
Nikki tells us, “When I started playing Schecter Guitars at the age of 14, I never could have imagined that I’d have not only one but two incredible signature models from them. When I moved to Los Angeles at the age of 21, they treated me like family and helped me along my musical journey in so many ways. My signature models are everything I’ve ever wanted in a guitar… the satin finish on the ultra-thin neck allows me to really shred; the Sustainiac is a fun tool in the studio and on stage; it’s lightweight, yet it sounds heavy with my Schecter USA NS-1 pickup; and, I just love the way it looks with the purple burst “Maiden Mist” finish along with the beautifully intricate inlay designs. I couldn’t imagine working alongside a better company, and it’s still a dream come true to be playing these guitars on stage every night.”
