GRITTY MUSICIANS BROUGHT THEIR A-GAME TO CELEBRATE LGBTQ+ WITH PRIDE

Los Angeles, CA | June 12, 2023 – Gritty In Pink kicked off Pride Month with their All GRL Jam x LA Tech Week Mixer on June 8, 2023, at The Echo LA. Featuring over 50+ women and non-binary artists, covering your favorite queer jams and anthems! Bringing together the worlds of music and tech, the evening kicked off with Gritty In Pink’s first tech panel “Queer Creators in Tech” hosted by B.Pagels-Minor (Founder, DVRGNT Ventures) with panel speakers Shira Yevin (CEO/Founder, Gritty In Pink), Tatiana DeMaria (Artist, Web3 Entrepreneur), and Kat Cunning (Artist, Actor, and Influencer). 

The feminine-fueled concert kicked off the night with a prop-assisted opening performance by Bitch (Bitch and Animal) and Tatiana DeMaria with an acoustic set. Multi-faced Chastity Ashley (Duran Duran) rocked out to Epic’s “Faith No More” and BodaciousThang made the crowd feel with Janelle Monae’s “Make Me Feel.” Kat Cunning sang about freedom with a rendition of George Micheal’s “Freedom 90!” Manda Malina serenaded the audience with Kehlani’s “Honey” along with Jayelle and Aria Hurtado. Dani Hagan brought the 2000s feels with Katy Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl.” The electric Kym Priess (Stuntdriver) honored the late Tina Turner with “Proud Mary” with assistance from Lele Rose, Whitney Tai, and BodaciousThang. Gritty newcomer and Grammy-nominated Cheri Moon made us believe with Cher’s “Believe.” Bossi moved the crowd with her twist on Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy” featuring Brenda Carsey, Shanice Antonia, and Christina LaRocca.

The Jam also included performances from vocalists Shaymari, VK Lynne, Chel, and Frankie Berry. Gritty In Pink Founder and CEO Shiragirl hosted the night with TV personality/Radio host and American Idol Alum Mikalah Gordon while DJ Lisa Pittman kept the vibe up between jam sets. At the end of the night, Gritty In Pink announced Natalie Nova as the winner of their Taylor Guitars Artist Guitar Giveaway, and finished with a Gritty rendition of Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy” featuring Shiragirl, Vashonda Sherra, Lisa Bianco, Melody Ector, Janet Robin, Megan Rask, Aixa Vilar, and many more.
