I love Christmas music and enjoy this season so much, but I also know that when you’ve lost someone you love, this time of year can be hard. 26 years ago this month, our family lost our beloved cousins and uncle in a boating accident. There haven’t been many days since then that I haven’t thought of them or missed them.
A few years ago on my birthday, my dad got me a bouquet of all different color roses – pink, red, orange, yellow, and white. The white roses stood out as the biggest, most beautiful and most fragrant, and they were my favorite. But they wilted first, before all the others. Like the white roses, the family we lost were the brightest, shiniest, coolest humans, gone too soon. This song is about them and for them, and though it’s a bit sad, I hope it is a comfort for anyone missing someone this holiday season, knowing you’re not alone in your grief. 🤍
