Anaheim, CA | January 29, 2024 – Gritty In Pink made their mark at the NAMM conference on January 26, with their hotel suite soiree. The event was sponsored by Mackie, Johnnie Walker, Owl’s Brew, Waterloo, For Bitter For Worse, El Cristiano, Postmates, Keychange US, and Guitar Girl Magazine. The hotel soiree was part of a handful of events that featured women at NAMM, such as the She Rocks Awards, presented by the Women’s International Music Network.
Hotel party guests, prompted to sign up for the INPINK marketplace upon entry, were treated to an acoustic show, featuring artists available for hire online! The bill consisted of DJ Vashonda Sherra, Trishes, VK Lynne, and Dom Jones.
DJ Vashonda Sherra kicked off the night with a genre-bending musical set as attendees lined up out the door. Gritty In Pink founder, and host for the evening, Shira Yevin, introduced multidisciplinary artist Trishes who performed “Animal” and “Astrology.” Dom Jones rocked the crowd with “Video” and “Devil Ride” with assistance from guitarist Jeremy Flegel. VK Lynne (The Spider Accomplice) closed out the event with a performance of her latest Melissa Etheridge’s cover single “The Different.”
Notable attendees included Arabian Prince (N.W.A), The Etheridge Foundation, Ultimate Ears, School of Rock, The Long Beach Accelerator, We Make Noise, and Hollywood Times.
The Gritty In Pink NAMM Hotel Mixer was supported by Mackie and featured the ShowBox Battery-Powered All-in-One Live Performance Rig with Breakaway Mix Control. The Mackie ShowBox is a battery-powered all-in-one live performance rig that combines a 400W amplifier, portable PA speaker, 6-channel mixer, FX unit, and audio interface with a breakaway controller that mounts to your mic stand.
