International Songwriting Competition Deadline Fast Approaching

Now in its 20th year, the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) was created to recognize great songwriters and to provide a platform to be heard. The competition is open to both professional and amateur songwriters, signed or unsigned, and offers a valuable opportunity to get more recognition for your music. ISC accepts all styles and genres of original music including Rock, Country, Blues, Folk/Singer-Songwriter, Pop/Top 40, Music Video, Lyrics Only, and more.

ISC’s extended deadline is approaching soon on November 3, 2021.

The judging panel includes an impressive group of high-profile recording artists and Presidents, CEOs, and A&R executives from Atlantic, EMI, Sony, Warner, New West, Motown, Word, Arista, Cumbancha, Capitol, Columbia, YouTube, and more.

This year marks a major milestone for ISC as it is the 20th Anniversary since it was launched in 2002. ISC recognizes the hard work and passion that musicians put into their music and wants to celebrate these artists and provide opportunities to further their careers. One of the best ways to help artists is to give away more prize money and more merchandise. So, in honor of its 20th Anniversary, ISC has increased its overall prize package to $225,000 in cash and prizes to be shared by a total of 71 winners in 23 genre categories. The overall Grand Prize package has also been increased to almost $70,000 and includes $25,000 (US) cash plus merchandise and services.

ISC is also excited to announce the creation of a Founder’s Choice Award that will be given to one artist this year only, selected by the competition’s Founder, Candace Avery, and the ISC listening committee. This award will be given in addition to the overall Grand Prize that is selected by the judges. The Founder’s Choice award recipient will be awarded $10,000 (US) cash.

Over the years, many artists winners have gone on to achieve greater success, including getting record and publishing deals, licensing agreements, gigs, and much more. Past winners have included: Adrianne Lenker; Tones and I; Faouzia; Kehlani; Lindsey Stirling; Kimbra; The Band Perry; Gin Wigmore; Rachael Bloom; Heather Morgan; Amy Shark; Kasey Chambers; and many more.

ISC is sponsored by: Alclair Audio, Arturia, Audeze, Bsquared Management, Celebrity Access, Dark Horse Institute, Eventric, iZotope, Laney, Lurssen Mastering, Merch Cat, Modal Electronics, PreSonus, Play MPE, SongU, Sweetwater, Taylor Guitars, TuneCore, and Warm Audio.
