British blues singer and guitar player, Joanne Shaw Taylor, recently announced signing her first major label contract with Sony Music, through the re-launched Silvertone imprint. The global deal will result in three albums beginning in early 2019, and her albums Wild and Dirty Truth will also move over to Sony.

2017 saw Taylor headline her own tour, playing at some of the largest venues she’s every performed at. With her next tour, Taylor will perform in smaller, more intimate venues around the country, sharing several new tracks from her upcoming album. She will tour across the UK at several festival dates over the summer.

Taylor has an established fan base, and her recent album Wild landed in the Top 20 of albums, and received critical praise. Says Taylor of her recently inked deal, “Over my career, I have worked with different labels but when I got the chance to release the next albums through Sony and Silvertone in particular, I couldn’t say no. To be part of such an iconic label that has released albums by some of my guitar heroes like Buddy Guy, John Mayall and even The Stone Roses is such an honour. I will be starting work on the new album over the summer and can’t wait to get into the studio and release the album in 2019!”
