Music Premiere: Don’t Call Her Back! Bailey James Stuns with New Single and Video for “Change Your Number”

Powerhouse Bailey James brings us her upcoming single “Change Your Number,” produced by Matt Wallace (Jelly Roll) and written by James. This song is a classic break-up song that hits every dynamic of a hit song. The song’s high energy helps convey the message of independence and moving on with Bailey James’ typical no-nonsense delivery. The video is nothing short of that, featuring Bailey under a neon light sign reading “100% that Bitch!,” encapsulating the entire “better off without him” vibe of the single.

“This song is about being young and trying to navigate what you think might be love.  I’m absolutely horrible at being in relationships, and when I really like someone, I always get a little crazy, so I wrote this song in that headspace.”

 – Bailey James

During the chorus James sings “Standing in the rain with your boombox baby, 80’s movie scene, driving me crazy,” and “Sending me roses when they’re not in season, I swear you piss me off for all the right reasons.” James drives home her point, which she never fails to do in her lyrics.

Bailey’s career took off in 2021 with her single “Finally Free” charting on Billboard at #42. “Finally Free” was also namedOpry Circle Release of the Week.”

Bailey has garnered over 250,000 fans across her social media platforms. She has become a regular act performing at the infamous Whiskey Jam. She has landed numerous times on Music Row’s Country Breakout Chart, including a top 40.

James is also a member of the Song Suffragettes, an all-female singer-songwriter weekly showcase in Nashville. Bailey has also been featured in notable outlets such as CMT, Rolling Stone, and Hollywood Life. She has recently been announced as a finalist for the John Lennon Songwriting contest for her single & music video for “Better Angels.” One of her most impressive accomplishments is being the first National Youth Advocate for the Jason Foundation for suicide-prevention awareness. Bailey also started her own mental health/suicide prevention awareness movement in 2022, The Finally Free Movement, in honor of her brother Zane, who she lost to suicide.
