We chatted with Freebird about what’s on the horizon, her favorite guitars, and more below.
What kind of guitar/s do you use? If more than one, do you have a favorite?
The main guitar that I use is a Taylor GS Mini.
Tell us where your favorite gig has been over the past year and do you have a bucket list venue that you would love to play?
My favorite gig that I played over the past year was the Montisi-Nashville Music Festival in Montisi, Toscana, Italy. It was such a blessing to get to found this new festival bringing Nashville indie music worldwide. This year, I hope to get the opportunity to do more gigs on the road and begin to branch out and spread my music across the world.
What is your favorite cover song to perform at the moment?
My favorite cover song to perform is “Me and Bobby McGee” by Janis Joplin.
What is coming down the pike with your music? Anymore upcoming releases?
I will be releasing my single “My Love” on Friday, March 8th, then releasing my upcoming single and music video for “Like A Bomb” Friday, April 12th. “Like a Bomb” is the official kick off to my waterfall release of my album.
Fun Facts:
Do you have any pre-show rituals?
Normally my time before shows is spent pacing back and forth like a lion in a cage.
Aside from music, do you have any other aspirations?
Aside from music, I would say that the music business has become a strong passion of mine. Throughout my journey, I have also grown a passion for organizing live music events and festivals. I work to give independent artists a strong and fair performance platform to share their music as a woman under 20 in this industry. Despite this being uncommon, I work constantly to show others that age and gender does not hold you back from anything.
What is your favorite holiday and why?
My favorite holiday is Halloween. I have one sibling, a brother three years younger than me, and his passion is character concept design for spooky characters, so it has always been a major part of my life.
If you could have any guitar, what make/model would you like to add to your collection?
