Who: We are Oceanlux, a pop duo from Fort Wayne, Indiana. We create upbeat music with personal lyrics for the intent to help others experiencing similar situations. “Hurt Me Harder” is only one of five singles in the upcoming EP! What: Our new single “Hurt Me Harder” is upbeat with catchy melodies. It depicts overcoming toxic relationships with the realization of self-confidence and worthiness. We kept the song sounding optimistic and powerful to help others in similar situations. We wanted to look sarcastic and just “over it” in the music video with otherwise dark and personal lyrics. We gained inspirations from The 1975 and Andy Warhol.

When: We released “Hurt Me Harder” on February 1, 2019.
Why: Our band inspiration mostly comes from other pop artists. In the past, we have followed artists like Ellie Goulding and Halsey, but lately, we have been very interested in “full-band bands.” Especially for “Hurt Me Harder”! We were inspired by Walk The Moon, One Republic, and Loote. We are very excited to see how our music keeps evolving over time!
