It is a show that had laughter and tears throughout the evening. This, the 50th Country Music Awards, is one to remember. Again, to host was Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley who did a wonderful job with the duties. This year brought many out to see not only who would win what, but also performances from some of today’s hottest artists with some surprises along the way. The 50th CMAs is an awards show that country fans and others look forward to because it is a time to see their favorite artists and all the fashion that goes along with it. The show celebrated its 50th wonderful an emotional, this is what makes it special each year. Below is a list of winners and a short review just in case you missed out on it.
The show opened with a medley and included surprises. There was quite a bit of tissues being used when Randy Travis, who suffered a near fatal stroke 3 years ago, came out onto the stage. This erupted into a sing along of ‘Forever and ever Amen’, there was not a dry eye in the house.
The Dixie Chicks and Beyoncé put on an electrifying performance to plenty of mixed reviews, but none the less it was electrifying to see this collaboration. There was a comedic showing from Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley as they interacted with football quarterback Brett Manning who was in the audience to support Kenney Chesney. This included the host taking a mocking approach to his insurance commercials and it was golden to watch. The question on quite a few minds today is: is Taylor Swift coming back to country? At the end of the day, does it matter. Music is meant to be enjoyed, no matter what genre it is and that is all that needs to be stated. Now it is time to announce winners from the different categories.

The night was a celebration of country music and it was joyous in a variety of ways. Till next year, enjoy music and don’t worry about what genre it is.
