With the next to last day of Americanafest, there are so many events to choose from for Saturday, September 14. From music celebrating the legend of The Carpenters, to current songwriters, and performances from Suzy Boggus, Michaela Anne, Della Mae, and Amilia K Spicer, there is a plethora of opportunities to check out some great musicians and singer-songwriters. Under the Sun at L27

Transoceanic Records and Atomic Music Group invite you to enjoy the view all day Saturday at L27, the stunning rooftop bar at the Westin Hotel, with live shows from special guests Jim Lauderdale, Suzy Bogguss, Gretchen Peters, Corb Lund, Drivin N Cryin, JP Harris, Caleb Caudle, and Lauren Morrow. The Bootleg BBQ is British Underground’s performance stage at AMERICANAFEST. Now in its seventh year, this event has hosted most of the UK acts playing the festival alongside rising US stars. This 2019 edition includes performances from Danni Nicholls (UK), Carson McHone (US), Roseanne Reid (UK), Della Mae (US), The Rails (UK) and Curse of Lono (UK). Amazing Grace: Celebrating Doc Watson

Doc Watson (1923-2012) personified the American folk music revival as a master of timeless songs and as a virtuoso and pioneering acoustic guitar picker. He was also a down-home gentleman who exhibited amazing grace in every part of his life, including presiding over the influential MerleFest near his home in Deep Gap, NC. At this special event, great guitarists and musicians from bluegrass, folk and blues join together to play Doc’s favorite songs and share stories about an icon.
We’ve Only Just Begun: A Tribute to the Music of The Carpenters & More

Wonderful, wonderful! Erin Rae presents a tribute to the music of The Carpenters, Glen Campbell, Judee Sill, Jim Croce, The Monkees, Bread, Scott Walker, Doris Day, and more. Inspired by the effervescent and pastel-clad Lawrence Welk Variety Show, Erin Rae and bandleader Jordan Lehning organize a collection of songs performed by the likes of Caitlin Rose, Andrew Combs, Logan Ledger, Natalie Prass, Adia Victoria, Joshua Hedley, Emily West, and many, many more. Come sip some bubbly and enjoy the sounds of the ’60s and ’70s. Hiccup!
