Santa Monica, CA — With the start of the 2018-2019 school year already in full swing, Córdoba is excited to announce that applications for their new ukulele donation program, Córdoba Cares, is now open! For over 20 years, Córdoba has been dedicated to spreading the joy of playing music, and the new Córdoba Cares charitable initiative takes that commitment beyond manufacturing high-quality instruments.
Through the new Córdoba Cares program, Córdoba will select 1 new music club or group per week to receive 12 free ukuleles, gig bags, and tuners. Since music does not discriminate, neither will Córdoba — eligible music clubs or groups may range from low-income school programs, veteran rehabilitation support, senior living communities, music therapy, and more. To qualify, groups must be non-profit, established and regularly active for at least 1 year and located in the United States. The program will begin in September and run for at least 1 year.
To foster community, Córdoba will be including local music shops as much as possible for donation fulfillment and/or donation matching. Córdoba is dedicated to profiling the amazing Córdoba Cares recipients on Cordobaguitars.com and throughout their social media through #CordobaCares. The Córdoba Cares program also includes access to a closed Córdoba Cares Facebook group – a place where group organizers may share success stories, photos, videos and tips such as new songs to teach or new teaching methods.
