TAMPA, Fla. —Dean Guitars® heard the outcry for the return of an iconic shape and answers in the form of the striking Vengeance V. Sexy and sleek, no other body style makes the same impact. Never to be taken lightly, the Vengeance always makes a heavy statement. It’s been the progressive aggressive selection for players from all eras of hard rock, from Eric Peterson of Testament to Greg Tribbett of Mudvayne.
The Vengeance Select Floyd Fluence CHB has the aesthetic of a stealth bomber with a bit of bling. It features a flame maple top with a Charcoal Burst finish boldly highlighted in singly ply white binding. Its dusky ebony fretboard is adorned with Pearloid Ultra Diamond inlays and groovy glow-in-the-dark side dots.
A slim C neck offers ample lumber to wrap the left hand around, but not too much as to slow a player down when motoring through a tight riff or a rapid-fire lead run. The neck is set through the body for maximum sustain. A natural advantage of the Vengeance design is full and effortless access to all 24 stainless steel frets, so players can shred way up into the short rows. A dual-action truss rod makes it a cinch to set to personal satisfaction. Grover Mini tuners with a high ratio of 18:1 make it easy to home in with precision. A Floyd Rose 1000 bridge facilitates micro tuning and lets players whammy away securely without fear of string slippage.
A pair of Fishman Fluence pickups in Modern Black ensure that the Vengeance sounds as strong as it looks and plays. To dial in a players own unique sound there are tone and volume control knobs for each Fluence as well as a three-way selector to focus on the more biting sound of the bridge, the throatier tone of the neck, or whatever combination of the two sounds best.
The Dean Vengeance Select Floyd Fluence CHB is now available for those ready to join the hallowed list of guitar gods at the attainable street price of $1399.
