A couple of years ago, we did a 2-part interview with guitarist Janet Robin. It was during the first of those two parts that I asked her a few questions related to her days as lead guitarist for the 1980s female rock band Precious Metal.

Just the other day, I got this subscription e-mail newsletter that Janet sends out. She mentions that, for the first time in a quarter-century, she will be performing live as part of Precious Metal in a reunion concert to be held on Saturday, October 25 at the Mint in Los Angeles.
It is an event that will be held to benefit breast cancer awareness. Janet wrote in her e-mail about one of her Precious Metal colleagues, bassist Alex Peterson, having recovered from it. She said in her e-mail that the reunion show will be “a great way to celebrate [Alex’s] recovery and survival, and to bring more awareness and raise money for many of the cancer foundations out there. I have 3 other friends battling cancer right now, so this really hits home.”
Ticket information and other details for this amazing Precious Metal reunion show will be released soon. Janet will also play a few live solo shows over the next few months throughout California and Utah, as well as work on a solo album that she plans to release in 2016.
