The Grammy Awards held at the Los Angeles Staples Center last night was full of glitz, glam and music. The Grammys opened with a jaw-dropping performance by Beyonce and Jay Z, followed by Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Pink, Lorde, the iconic Paul McCartney and Ringo Star, gracious and talented Carol King accompanied by Sara Bareilles, Keith Urban, Chicago and Robin Thicke, Willie Nelson and Krist Kristofferson, and many, many more.
Newcomer to country music Kacey Musgraves took home the gramophone for Best Country Song for “Merry Go ‘Round” co-written with Shane McAnnally and Josh Osborne from her album Same Trailer Different Park on Mercury Records. Musgraves was up against major award winning country stars Lee Brice, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton and the multi-award winning Taylor Swift.
Not only did Musgraves win in the Best Country Song Category, she also won the coveted Best Country Album award for Same Trailer Different Park on Mercury Records, up against nominees Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean and Tim McGraw.
Kacey Musgraves also performed her single “Follow Your Arrow.”
