ACCLAIMED ARTIST LAUREN MINEAR RELEASES HIGHLY ANTICIPATED DELUXE ALBUM, INCLUDING THREE NEW TRACKS – “SHADOW,” “NEVER ENOUGH,” and “WATER”

October 18, 2024 (New York, NY) – Lauren Minear unveils the final installment of Chasing Daylight, the deluxe version of the critically-acclaimed May 2024 album, including previously released singles, “Broken,” and “California,” as well as three new bonus tracks: “Shadow,” “Water,” and “Never Enough.”

Minear says, “I wrote ‘Never Enough’ about the tension between taking care of the family we create and the family we came from. ‘Shadow’ is about remembering who you are, and, ‘Water’ reminds us that our biggest breakthroughs come when least expected.”
Chasing Daylight: The Short Film is expected to follow in coming months.
With her sophomore album, Chasing Daylight, released on May 31, 2024, Minear creates a colorful world of self-discovery and self-exploration, detailing one woman’s journey from darkness to light, from looking for happiness outside of herself, to finding it within.
“When I was writing this album, I was going through the process of leaving my day job as a psychotherapist to make music full-time. I wanted to make something that I would feel good about my clients listening to. I laced a bit of therapeutic wisdom into each track.”
With every color and wardrobe choice, Minear creates a new character and a new facet of her own personality, through which her listeners can explore themselves.
Featuring fan favorite singles, “High,” “Chasing Daylight,” “Real Me,” “The Sun,” and “The Way It Was,” each supported by a music video (view here), Chasing Daylight  has been met with critical acclaim.
Earmilk writes “Rooted in her signature ability to unveil intimate themes at the core of vibrant sonics, the tracks are laden with relatable themes and a dose of wisdom, showcasing the enlightening core of the album which is set to be a colorful exploration of visibility and self-discovery” and Tits Upon Tyne called her “a radiant beacon in the indie-folk pop landscape.”
Follow up singles, “California” (July 27, 2024), and “Broken” (September 6, 2024) explore psychological obstacles to personal growth through infectious hooks, poignant metaphor, and playful images.
Cumulatively, the project, released independently, has garnered over 120k+ streams on Spotify and 100k+ music video views. Minear has amassed over 24k monthly listeners on Spotify.
Raised in Nashville, now living in New York, Minear has shared the stage with music legends, including Pete Yorn and Cassandra Lewis. As a teenager, she sat in the studio with Steve Earle, and she has studied songwriting with the likes of Ben Folds.
Minear was a semi-finalist in the 2022 International Songwriting Competition, and a semi-finalist in the 2024 Unsigned Only Competition.
Notably, her music video for “The Way It Was” was chosen to be played at the 2024 Imagine This Women’s Film Festival.
Minear’s captivating stage presence, attention to visual and lyrical detail, and heartfelt connection with her audience make her performances a unique experience. Her powerful vocal has been compared to Natalie Merchant, Dido, Alanis Morissette, and Maggie Rogers, but with a flair that is all her own. Her lyricism has been compared to Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLachlan, and others. In short, Minear brims with raw talent.
There is much more to come from Lauren Minear. In 2025, she will begin releasing a new body of work that she is deeply passionate about.
