NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Capitol Christian Music Group artist and songwriter Anne Wilson has been named as part of Pandora’s Artists to Watch 2023: Christian/Gospel. The esteemed artist development program recognizes the next generation of new voices expected to make great strides in 2023. The breakout star is one of 10 artists named as part of this year’s initiative, who’s alumni include Christian powerhouses like We The Kingdom, We Are Messengers, Chris Renzema and more.
“It’s an honor to be named one of Pandora’s Artists To Watch 2023: Christian/Gospel! The Lord has already given me the opportunity to spread His word to so many people,” shares Wilson. “I cannot wait to see what’s to come.”
The recent recognition from Pandora comes amidst a year of record breaking year of accolades. Last month, the “Christian music hitmaker” (Billboard) was nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album at the 65th annual GRAMMY Awards for her debut album My Jesus, which will air live Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023 from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The GRAMMY nod succeeded Wilson’s doublewin at the 53rd annual GMA Dove Awards, where she took home awards for New Artist of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year for her breakthrough single “My Jesus.” This year also saw wins for Wilson at the K-LOVE Fan Awards for Female Artist of the Year and Breakout Single, once again for “My Jesus.”
Heading into the holiday season, fans can stream Wilson’s six-track Christmas project, The Manger, featuring title-track “The Manger (with Josh Turner),” out everywhere now. After wrapping tour dates as direct support for Casting Crowns, Wilson is finishing out 2022 on the road with Phil Wickham’s Behold Christmas Nights Tour, as well as three dates with the Xtreme Winter Conference.
