“The inspiration for the song was to create a story song that really captures Nashville. What better way than to create a story about a musician leaving his hometown to follow his dream in Nashville and his childhood sweetheart wondering if he still thinks about her while he chases his dreams in country music. Most country artists aren’t raised in Nashville and I’m sure people or past loves from their hometown wonder how they are doing.” shared Dani.

Dani penned the lyrics with co-writer Travis John Howard, who is best known for Miranda Lambert’s No. 1 hits including “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” and “Heart Like Mine”. The holiday track features fiddle and steel guitar that smoothly lends itself to the song’s vintage feel.
