Cece Benz’s New Song About Hometown Exes

At some point in their lives, everyone experiences watching an ex move on to someone new. It’s part of growing up. Inspired by Taylor Swift’s ‘Tis The Damn Season, Cece’s new song touches on the heartbreak one experiences when the person that they used to love from home moves on. With vulnerability, Cece explores the confusion and pain that comes with this in We’re Over Now – out now on all streaming platforms.

We’re Over Now is Cece’s first release since the release of her debut EP, Growing Pains. This sounds and feels like the beginning of a new era for her and all that she has lined up for 2025. She has more music coming in the new year and is excited for people to hear these songs and to play them live.

Cece Benz is an Atlanta based singer-songwriter, blending indie pop with confessional songwriting. Her songs explore themes of growth, vulnerability, and resilience. She is currently pursuing her education at Berklee College of Music in Boston, continuing to evolve as both a musician and a storyteller. She captivates audiences with her soulful vocals and magnetic stage presence. Whether she’s performing in an intimate coffeehouse or a packed venue, she has a unique ability to connect with her audience. Drawing inspiration from her musical influences (Holly Humberstone, Maggie Rogers, Lizzy McAlpine, Role Model) and personal experiences, she creates music that speaks to the soul, inviting listeners on a journey of introspection and growth.

“I am so excited for this song to be out in the world. This is the beginning of something really fun and exciting for me and my artistry. This song encapsulates a feeling that I think is very real and relatable for a lot of people, especially with it coming out right before the holidays!”
