Los Angeles, CA – July 6, 2023 | Gritty In Pink is set to perform their signature All GRL JAM series at the inaugural FairWell Festival at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Central Oregon on July 22. The Gritty All GRL JAM features a talented cast of all women/non-binary musicians performing themed cover songs; for Fairwell Festival, the performance will pay tribute to iconic Country, Americana, Rock, and Blues artists. Gritty In Pink is a new platform to empower women in music, building the INPINK talent hub, a destination to hire women working in all aspects of the music industry.
In 2022, Live Nation Women announced an investment into Gritty In Pink from the Live Nation Women Fund, a global, early-stage fund that Live Nation established to improve gender equality across the industry by investing in female-founded live music businesses. Live Nation and Gritty In Pink have been collaborating on a live residency
in Los Angeles, and with FairWell, their partnership is expanding into the festival space. The goal is to raise awareness and drive signups for INPINK via online campaigns, onstage performances, and backstage presence.
The Gritty In Pink All GRL Jam at FairWell Festival will feature a phenomenal lineup of musicians, including singer and actor Allison Scaglotti (La Femme Pendu, Drake & Josh), vocalist/percussionist Chastity Ashley (Duran Duran, Tom Morello), Gritty musical director Lisa Bianco (Lauren Ruth Ward), hard rocker VK Lynne (The Spider Accomplice), Gritty leader Shiragirl, drummer Melanie Jo (ZZ Top), Vashonda Sherra (Shiragirl), bassist Sabrina Winter, bassist Aurora Celena, drummer Delaney Jai, INPINK talent search winner, OR-based queer influencer/singer Bria Kam.
All talent featured in the All GRL Jam can be hired on INPINK, an online marketplace connecting the music industry to a diverse community of female creators and professionals. Like a female-powered Upwork for the music business, INPINK aims to democratize access to a gatekept industry, and provide a pipeline of female talent for the male-dominated industry. Gritty In Pink recently collaborated with Strategic Advisor, Melissa Etheridge, who used the INPINK platform to hire a female photographer and videographer to shoot at Melissa’s summer tour kickoff.
