March 22, 2022 – Singer-songwriter Lauren Phillips is thrilled to release her new single “Milwaukee” which is out now.
Lauren says, This is song about being stuck in a different city than my partner and not appreciating the city for it is because I was blinded by loneliness. It also didn’t help that it was the heat of the pandemic and no bars or restaurants were open to socialize haha. I’m proud of this one. I wanted it to be fun and energetic something that was lacking during that time of my life.
Phillips recently released “The Irish”, off her debut album “Handsome Woman” out July 2022. Co-Written by Bonnie Baker (Hunter Hayes, Rachel Platten, Reba) and produced by Grammy-winning Ryan Petersen (Matt Stell, Switchfoot, Jonas Brothers, Simple Plan, Cody Simpson, Echosmith) in Nashville at Bearcat Recording Studios the song is a story of a young woman and her loss of life.
Chicago born songster has been busy building her music career, even through the limitations of the Covid crisis. Now based in Los Angeles, and a part of the resurgent Laurel Canyon music scene.
Phillips has worked Grammy Nominated producer Brian West (Sia, Nelly Furtardo and Maroon 5), Elliott Beenk (Chad Smith, Lissie, Josh Dean) and Grammy Award winner Emily Lazar (Beck, Coldplay, Sia), Bonnie Baker (Rachel Platten, Hunter Hayes, Reba, Zella Day, Rascal Flatts), Tim Hutton (Sugar Ray, Three Dog Night) to name a few.
As a relative newcomer to the music scene, Lauren has been flattered by the support she’s been receiving from both media and fans alike. Leading outlets, American Songwriter, Pride.com, Nakid, VoyageLA, Curve Magazine, Hype Magazine, Ear to the Ground, and Vents have included her in prominent features around her debut EP, I Could Love You Everyday. Pride invited her to be a part of their two big Pride Month promotions, Soundtracks of Pride and their annual virtual Pride Month music festival.
