Los Angeles, CA (August 20th, 2019) – Critically acclaimed and multi-award winning electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling will collaborate with Wave, the premier interactive livestream concert platform, to create a groundbreaking live, virtual concert experience on Monday, August 26th at 12pm PST/3pm EST.
Set to be captured from the Wave studios in Los Angeles, Stirling will partake in a live interaction with her fans as a special Lindsey Stirling avatar, powered by state of the art body motion and face capture technology. Through her avatar, Lindsey will perform a live-streamed concert for audiences world-wide, who will be able to tune in for the first time ever through the musician’s YouTube channel. In addition, users will have the option to watch through Stirling’s Facebook page, or via Wave’s official Twitch channel. Users who wish for a more immersive experience will have the opportunity to virtually attend the concert as their own avatar, using Wave’s VR and PC desktop app, supported by HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift (excluding Oculus Go, or Quest). Download the app here. The performance is scheduled to be available for archive viewing 24-hours after premiere time.
“Lindsey is a trailblazer, entrepreneur and incredibly talented artist,” said Adam Arrigo CEO and Co-Founder of Wave. “We’re excited to be collaborating with her and helping her extend her reach to fans around the globe using the power of our platform. With her pioneering spirit, she is the perfect artist to be the first to use Wave on YouTube.”
Throughout the show, Lindsey, via her Avatar, will be able to connect with fans in a variety of direct, mysterious and surprise interactions, creating moments where fans attending across platforms can come together. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase a piece of memorabilia from the show, including exclusive Lindsey merchandise based on specific imagery from the concert.
The virtual show marks Stirling’s latest event leading up to her highly-anticipated fifth studio album, Artemis, scheduled to release Friday, September 6th through BMG.
