Luna Guitars Turns Up the Volume on New Art Vintage Jumbo Acoustic-Electric

TAMPA, FL (March 20, 2020) — Luna Guitars is turning up the volume on its Vintage Series with the introduction of the Art Vintage Jumbo solid top acoustic-electric guitar. With its distinctive rustic looks, thunderous tone, and solid-built construction, the Art Vintage Jumbo is designed to stand out. Songwriters and musicians can expect a rich, natural tone, but can easily amplify their sound and dial it in quickly with the onboard Fishman preamp system with an onboard tuner. Larger-than-life in its appeal but also sizeably sophisticated, the Art Vintage Jumbo is a perfect fit for any artist.

The big vintage tone starts with vintage design and materials that are made for the long haul. For the Art Vintage Jumbo, Luna selected strong mahogany for the traditional jumbo body and solid spruce for the flat top. These materials finished in Distressed Vintage Brownburst and united with multi-ply cream binding, create a rich definition from note to note with plenty of presence and unique character when playing rhythmic chords.

The Art Vintage Jumbo’s sturdy mahogany neck (25 ½” scale) has set-neck construction with a dual-action truss rod. Offering excellent playability and wear resistance, the pau ferro fretboard has 20 frets and a 15” radius for comfortable, clean playing. The desirable pau ferro is also used for the bridge, where a cream saddle and pins contrast the dark wood.

Delivering on power and stability, the Art Vintage Jumbo has a Graph Tech NuBone nut (1.65” width). This derivative of Graph Tech’s highly resonant TUSQ material is manufactured to precise tolerances under high heat and pressure, making it extremely reliable. Vintage-style open-gear tuners with brushed nickel hardware help to reflect Luna’s insignia on the dark brown headstock. Another signature focal point is Luna’s Pearloid Moon Phase fretboard inlays that shine brightly under stage lights.

The Art Vintage Jumbo is destined for live performance, and players will find just what they need with the Fishman Presys II Preamp with an onboard tuner. This stage-ready system offers a clear, full sound that, combined with its comfortable profile and lightweight, makes it a great choice for a variety of styles.

Whether a player has aspirations for the Grand Ole Opry or their local neighborhood blues jam, the Art Vintage Jumbo acoustic-electric guitar is an affordable instrument to get them there, available at a street price of $399.
