Nashville, Tenn. (July 1, 2019) – Rising country songstress and Rebel Engine Entertainment artist STEPHANIE QUAYLE delivers a breathtaking look at her Western roots in the official video for “IF I WAS A COWBOY,” premiering exclusively today (7/1) on CMT.
Directed by Jeff Johnson and filmed on her family’s real-life ranch in Montana, the cinematic work features stunning mountainside vistas, Quayle’s own horses and a pure-country storyline, all about a girl who grew up to learn she was just as tough as any cowboy. Adding to the track’s powerful spirit of female empowerment, the “IF I WAS A COWBOY” video was added to rotation on CMT in the 6 a.m. EST and 8 a.m. EST hour blocks this morning and will continue to air throughout the day on CMT Music.
“Creating the music video for this song under the Big Sky was a dream come true,” Quayle says. “To be able to capture how I grew up and where I am now, along with the vulnerability, heartbreak and strength of this song in just over three minutes, was truly a cinematic experience.

“IF I WAS A COWBOY” was written by Nicolle Galyon, Ross Copperman and Shane McAnally, and is spinning at country radio now. Described by The Boot as an “anthemic tip of the hat to those times in life when you have to put on a stiff upper lip and act tougher than you feel,” it leads to her upcoming EP release, which is currently in the works alongside Executive Producer Mark Wright and Producer Julian King.
