Introducing the latest musical revelation from Indie pop singer-songwriter Tessa DeNicola, a talent who continues to redefine the genre with her authentic voice and poignant lyricism. Today, we at Guitar Girl Magazine are thrilled to premiere her unapologetic third single, “Funniest Girl in The World xx.” This compelling track is not just a song; it’s a raw and resonant exploration of human emotions, relationships, and the masks we wear. With a blend of nostalgic melodies and a narrative that’s as genuine as it is gripping, Tessa takes us on a journey through deception and self-discovery. Her unique style, coupled with the success of her previous single, “After I Changed,” sets the stage for what promises to be a transformative EP. Dive into the complexity of Tessa’s world, where pop meets folk, and self-expression knows no bounds.
I had this concept bottled up for a while, and I think it was just a matter of being finally ready to write about it. I was in the studio with my producer, and we were toying with chord progressions. Once I heard him play this loop on the guitar, I felt this sort of pent-up angst automatically flow out of me, and everything else just fell into place and we wrote and arranged the entire song that day.
