Americana rock band from Austin, Texas, MADAM RADAR, is made up of husband and wife Jace Cadle and Kelly Green, along with Kelly’s brother Kody Lee and his girlfriend Violet Lea. Madam Radar recently released their albumĀ Speaks, which features nine original songs and one cover of “Radar Love” by Golden Earring. The album was recorded at The Finishing School in Austin with Gordy Quist from The Band of Heathens and Grammy award-winning engineer Steve Christensen. Drummer, Kody Lee, can be heard on saxophone throughout this album.
MADAM RADAR says of the album: “We wrote all the songs for the new album during the pandemic. We were fortunate to all move to the same apartment complex two days before lockdown occurred in Austin.”
We’re pleased to premiere the powerful Official Music Video for the single “Hands” from their latest album, Speaks.
“Hands” is a powerful ballad about love and relationships. The song is a reminder that through all the ups and downs in life, sometimes it is nice to slow down and just hold hands with a person you love. -Jace
The band tells us, “The video for “Hands” was an idea lead guitarist, Kelly Green, came up with. The band had originally planned a sweet video based around their lives, but earlier this year, Kelly and Kody had an Aunt pass away from cancer, and the song took on a new meaning. Kelly, Violet, Jace, and Kody storyboarded together and bounced ideas around. They teamed up with Director Ben Foster from Songwriters Across Texas, and he helped make their vision a reality. Kody edited the video together.”
