Watch rising country artist Lexi Mackenzie’s official music video for “Out of Control” directed by Sean Hagwell.
In a Facebook post, Mackenzie says, “The song and music video for “Out of Control” have been in the works for quite a while now. Fear of writing and singing something of substance, in an industry that praises fluff, scared me for too long. Ultimately though, I realized that our purpose is much bigger than ourselves. If you can help someone feel loved, accepted, not alone … do it. Bring people together, even in a world that tries to separate us. It is all about love and acceptance. We don’t all have to agree, but we can all accept. One of my favorite songwriters @shanemcanally said it best in a recent post …. ‘Love is a universal language.'”
Mackenzie is part of the popular Song Suffragettes group in Nashville and performed on June 4 at The Listening Room Cafe during the week of CMA Fest.
