ZOE WEES SHARES OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR “GIRLS LIKE US”

The official video for Zoe Wees’ new single, “Girls Like Us,” received a YouTube Premiere earlier today. Like the song, the clip sends a message of togetherness and solidarity to girls around the world who are feeling the pressures of society.

Zoe Wees says, “It’s not always good to think about how you look to the rest of the world. It’s much more important to think about how you feel inside. It is not easy to call yourself beautiful but being confident helps you to accept and love yourself.” Watch the video HERE.

The 18-year-old Hamburg, Germany-based artist adds, “We’re walking through a world with blinded eyes. At the end of the day, we all go to bed without make-up with the ugliest clothes and wake up with the messiest hair on earth.”

Earlier this week, Wees made her U.S. television debut on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” performing her debut single, “Control.” She was also featured on the cover of Apple Music’s “New Music Daily” and appeared on “The Zane Lowe Show.”

After its release last year, “Control” was added to the world’s two biggest playlists – Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits and Apple Music’s Today’s Hits. The song has since amassed over 270 million combined streams worldwide and gone Gold in five countries. “Control” entered the top 20 at Pop radio in the U.S. and earned Wees a spot on Rolling Stone’s “Breakthrough 25.” The deeply personal song – which Wees wrote as a way of dealing with the exclusion and helplessness she experienced as she struggled with rolandic childhood epilepsy – struck a universal chord and charted in 58 countries’ Viral Charts on Spotify. Wees has been named as a YouTube “On The Rise” artist, “One To Watch 2021” by Amazon, an iHeartRadio “Pop on the Verge” artist and a SiriusXM “Hits 1 To Watch” artist. Wonderland observed, “Zoe Wees…has been capturing the imagination of fans worldwide with her deep enthralling vocals and therapeutic rhythms.” She opened for Sam Smith at Abbey Road Studios last fall.
