Presented in conjunction with The NAMM Foundation, the rock icon joins the Lennon Bus in celebrating its 20th Anniversary tour with a special performance by the Ronettes at the annual Imagine Party.
“Launching the 20th Anniversary tour at The NAMM Show is like coming home,” said Co-Founder and Executive Director Brian Rothschild. “The NAMM Foundation’s early support of the Lennon Bus helped set the stage for our years of success, and partnering with Ronnie Spector, a friend of John Lennon’s, is the perfect way to celebrate as we look back on our impact and look ahead to reaching even more students and communities.”
“I first met John January 1964 in London, before he came to the states. What a beautiful person. I am thrilled to help celebrate his continuing impact on humanity with The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus and the efforts by Yoko to keep his spirit alive,” said Ronnie Spector.
Throughout The 2017 NAMM Show, the Lennon Bus will be parked on the central Grand Plaza in front of the Anaheim Convention Center, offering trade show attendees interactive tours of the bus and showcasing the newly updated display of onboard state-of-the-art equipment and gear, advanced recording technology, and innovative capabilities. Guests will get an exclusive look at featured products including Yamaha acoustic and electric guitars, Line 6 digital modeling guitar amplifiers, and new Canon cameras and lenses. In addition, the Lennon Bus will offer over $14,000 worth of gear giveaways from Yamaha, OWC (Other World Computing), Audio-Technica, Neutrik, Disc Makers, Digital Media Academy, Focusrite, Genelec, Line 6, Mackie, and Propellerhead.
