NAMM 2020: JACKSON® ADDS SEVERAL NEW PRO SERIES MODELS INCLUDING THE ALL-NEW PRO DINKY™ DK MODERN ASH; ALSO ADDS STUNNING NEW CRACKLE AND SWIRL FINISHES

Scottsdale, Ariz. (January 15, 2020) – Jackson® announces the expansion of the Pro Series line with all-new models including the Pro Dinky™ DK Modern Ash, as well as stunning new crackle and swirl finishes for Pro Series and X Series models.

With premium features catering to highly-technical playing, multi-dimensional tone, and ergonomic design, the brand-new Jackson Pro Series Dinky™ DK Modern Ash FR6 in Baked White, FR7 in Baked GreenHT6 in Baked Red and HT7 in Baked Blue models provide the ultimate high-performance experience for today’s modern players.

These innovative DK Modern Ash models boast unparalleled style with a sandblasted surface that highlights the ash wood grain, complete with a reverse AT-1 matching headstock with white Jackson badge logo and black hardware.

The Dinky body of these models is paired with a sturdy graphite-reinforced bolt-on three-piece maple/wenge/maple neck, featuring a satin finish on the back for greater playing comfort, Luminlay® side dots for fretboard guidance in dark lighting conditions and a heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel for painless neck relief tweaks. Designed for fast and intricate playing, the 12”-16” compound radius bound ebony fingerboard hosts 24 jumbo frets and offset pearloid dot inlays.

Active multi-voiced Fishman® Fluence® Open Core PRF-COC bridge and neck humbucking pickups give these powerful instruments plenty of dynamic tone — capable of over-wound hot-rodded crunch or vintage snap.

These versatile guitars feature a single volume control and a single tone control with push/pull activation to switch from voice one to voice two when the five-way blade is in pickup positions one (full bridge) or five (full neck.) Pickups positions two, three and four all feature voice 3’s single-coil tone. 

The versatile Pro DK Modern Ash HT6 and HT7 feature a Hipshot® fixed bridge with a Graph Tech® TUSQ® XL nut and Gotoh® locking tuners, while the Pro DK Modern Ash FR6 and FR7 offer a Floyd Rose® 1000 Series double-locking bridge system with Gotoh® tuners. Both 6-string models feature a 25.5” scale length, while the 7-string models have a 26.5” scale length.

Jackson also introduces a bevy of new Pro Series and X Series models that simply stun in style, including vibrant hues, crackle finishes and gorgeous quilt tops.

The Pro DK2 Ash feature an ash body wrapped in a shocking new Glow Green finish with matching pointed 6-in-line headstock, green pickup bobbins and black hardware.

The graphite-reinforced bolt-on maple neck has a sculpted shredder’s cut heel for easier access to the upper frets. A hand-rubbed satin finish on the back of the neck provides greater playing comfort, while a heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel allows for quick and convenient neck relief tweaks. Featuring 24 jumbo frets and offset pearloid dot inlays, the 12”-16” compound radius ebony fingerboard is the ideal platform for heavy chording and ripping solos.

Direct mount brawny Seymour Duncan® humbucking pickups—JB (bridge) and ’59™ (neck)—power this axe, delivering powerful punch while retaining clarity with enhanced note definition critical for modern metal. This axe is equipped with single volume and tone controls plus five-way blade switching to tweak and refine tone, and a recessed Floyd Rose® 1000 Series double-locking tremolo bridge system for improved tuning stability.

The Pro Series Soloist® SL2M MAH gets a ravishing new Magenta finish with matching pointy headstock and brooding black hardware.

Its premium features include a resonant mahogany body and through-body maple neck with hand-rubbed oil finish on the back for smooth playability, as well as a scarf joint and graphite-reinforcement rods that provide stiffness and high stability to guard against temperature- and humidity-induced bending and warping. Its 12”-16” compound radius bound maple fingerboard has 24 jumbo frets and pearloid piranha tooth inlays.

Chosen specifically for their complementary sound, modern direct mount Seymour Duncan® Distortion TB-6 and SH-6N humbucking pickups drive this guitar’s voice, combining for highly balanced, flexible tone, with plenty of high output for pristine cleans and snarling distortion. Other features include single volume and tone controls, three-way toggle switch and Floyd Rose® 1000 Series double-locking tremolo system.

On the crackle front, comes the Pro SL2 in a knockout Red Mercury finish featuring silver crackles both through the body and matching pointy headstock.

The Pro SL2’s premium features include a basswood body, through-body maple neck with scarf joint and graphite-reinforcement rods and a 12”-16” compound radius bound ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and pearloid piranha tooth inlays.

Modern Seymour Duncan® Distortion TB-6 and SH-6N humbucking pickups drive this guitar’s voice, which can be dialed in with a three-way pickup blade switch and single volume and tone controls.

This axe is also equipped with a Floyd Rose® 1000 Series double-locking tremolo bridge system, Jackson sealed die-cast tuners, Dunlop® dual-locking strap buttons and black hardware.

The all-new Jackson Pro Soloist™ SL3M comes in a nostalgic ‘80s throwback Rainbow Crackle finish with a matching pointed 6-in-line headstock and black hardware.

The Pro SL3M other features include a resonant basswood body, through-body maple neck with scarf joint and graphite-reinforcement rods, 12”-16” compound radius bound maple fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and black piranha tooth inlays. 

A direct mount Seymour Duncan® Distortion TB-6 bridge pickup provides a powerful low end for balanced rock or metal, while a Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat® SSL-6 RWRP Single-Coil middle pickup and Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 Single-Coil neck pickup broaden this axe’s versatility.

Melding modern materials and construction with molten metal style, the Jackson® X Series Soloist™ SL3X DX Crackle features brand-new explosive Gold Crackle and Silver Crackle finishes.

A contoured basswood body and neck-through-body construction ensure ergonomic comfort during long sets, along with monstrous sustain and smooth playing all the way up to the 24th jumbo fret. Graphite-reinforcement rods run through the maple neck, protecting it against environmental depredations, while the ultra-fast 12”-16” compound radius bound laurel fingerboard is built from the get-go for easy chording and riffing near the nut and rapid, fret-out-free leads while working up the neck.

The X Series Soloist™ SLX DX Swirl models offer agile playability and purebred Jackson DNA with a budget-friendly price tag.

The newly added SLX DX in Satin Red Swirl and Satin White Swirl feature black ink-like swirls snaking through the red and white finishes.

The SLX DX Swirl features a basswood body paired with a through-body maple neck with graphite reinforcement and tilt-back scarf joint headstock. Hosting 24 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays, its 12”-16” compound radius bound laurel fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out.

Jackson high-output humbucking bridge and neck pickups deliver an expansive voice loaded with full-bodied tone for blazing leads and plenty of crunch for aggressive rhythms runs. The Jackson X Series Kelly™ KEXQ exudes metal sophistication, while also delivering massive sound and reliable performance at an exceptional value.

The KEXQ features lightweight and resonant poplar body-wings with a quilt maple top wrapped in a Transparent Green finish with white binding and black hardware. The through-body maple neck features scarf joint and graphite reinforcement for reliable performance even under environmental and climate duress, while the 12”-16” compound radius laurel fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays is the ideal surface for comfortable, fast and intricate playing.

The X Series Warrior™ WRX24M model is a fiendishly affordable take on Jackson’s radically X-shaped shredder.

The WRX24M features a 25.5” scale length, resonant poplar body and through-body maple neck with scarf joint and graphite reinforcement for solid stability that guards against climate and humidity changes.  Designed for high-speed playing with comfortability, the 12”-16” compound radius bound maple fingerboard hosts 24 jumbo frets and distinctive sharkfin inlays.

Jackson high-output humbucking bridge and neck pickups deliver an expansive voice loaded with full-bodied tone with tight bass and plenty of crunch and harmonics. The WRX24M also has single volume and tone controls, three-way toggle switching and a Floyd Rose® Special double-locking tremolo bridge system for superior string stability and dynamic tremolo action.

The WRX24M is available in a stark Snow White finish with black binding, black hardware and our reverse Jackson pointed 6-in-line black headstock
