NAMM 2020: VOX Releases VOX Cambridge50, A Modern Guitar Amplifier

Powered by Nutube and Celestion WNAMM BOOTH 8802 HALL B

Melville, NY – January 7, 2020– The VOX Cambridge50 is a modern modeling guitar amplifier powered by Nutube and Celestion for powerful and responsive tones. Its simple design allows users to easily dial in settings on the face of the amp, or save favorite settings as presets. With 11 amp models and 8 built-in effects (between modulation and delay/reverb) and a built-in tuner, this amp is perfect for any guitar player.

The VOX Cambridge50 uses Virtual Element Technology (“VET”) modeling technology combined with Nutube in the preamp section to deliver realistic and stage-ready sounds featuring the distinctive distortion and response of a tube amp. The open-back cabinet equipped with a custom VOX-voiced Celestion 12-inch speaker also provides crisp guitar tones.

According to Brian Piccolo, Director of Guitar Brands at KORG USA, Inc, “with 50W output and versatile functionality, it’s a great choice not only for live performance but also for at-home practicing or recording. In addition to the legendary VOX sound, this single unit gives you the sounds of a wide range of amps including well-known tube amps, modern high-gain amps, and rare boutique amps.”

VOX’s Cambridge50 is packed with functions; in addition to the built-in tuner, there’s an AUX input, USB audio interface, and headphone/line output with cabinet simulator. The preset mode allows users to instantly recall stage-ready sounds, and the manual mode applies the physical knob positions just like a conventional amp. A-LINE model is also provided to support acoustic-electric guitars and keyboards, further expanding the useful scope of this unit.

The VOX Cambridge50 is available in January 2020 for $299.99. For more information visit www.voxamps.com.
