“Deep Thoughts” is the second single off her highly anticipated solo EP, Damage, and will be available on streaming platforms starting November 7, 2024. The song brings together Brazilian maracatu rhythms, funk grooves, and immersive, spacey soundscapes, creating a rich, multi-layered experience that reflects Pops’ journey through her own struggles with overthinking and the powerful breakthroughs that followed.

Pops Magellan wrote, produced, and played synths and bass on “Deep Thoughts,” also crafting the single’s collage cover from her own photos. For this track, she brought in drummer Noa Kahn, whose fierce, virtuosic energy perfectly complements Magellan’s vision. Grammy-winning Taylor Graves and esteemed producer Randy Emata co-produced and played additional synths, solidifying Magellan’s place among industry heavyweights.
