San Gabriel, CA – January 14, 2020 – Odyssey Innovative Designs (Odyssey), a leading design and manufacturer of cases and accessories for the professional audio market, is proud to announce Dave Lopez, Vice President of Sales at Odyssey Products was presented with 2020 Believe in Music Award by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) at The 2020 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California.
The Believe in Music Award is given annually by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) to individuals who have dedicated years of service to the music products industry. This year, the award was presented to recognize Dave Lopez from Odyssey Innovative Designs for his near three-decade career in building and growing the DJ and pro audio community on behalf of the global industry.
“As with our past Believe in Music award winners, Lopez represents the heart and soul of our community,” shared Dan Del Fiorentino, Music Historian at NAMM. “We wanted to thank Dave for his service to our industry and for assisting NAMM in documenting and preserving our industry’s rich history by supporting the Oral History Program!”
Dave Lopez began his career in the 1980s with AT&T and was also an event DJ in Southern California, producing weddings, parties, and playing clubs. In 1996, Lopez met Mario Montano and John Hsiao, who had just launched Odyssey Cases. He joined the startup, quickly excelling in business development, and has since been head of sales for Odyssey and its companies.
