In the wake of current events and everything that has happened in 2020, rising country artist Tera Lynne Fister delivers a poignant, timely and powerful brand-new single I Understand (I Will Never Understand). During these uncertain times, there is a lot of thinking and self-reflection being done and Fister hopes this song will travel far bringing unity, acceptance and support to everyone. I Understand (I Will Never Understand) is currently available on all digital platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and more.

Featuring American Honky Tonkin’ Troubador Graham Nancarrow, this song was co-written with Tera alongside Graham and John Bohlinger, after having a conversation about the state of the world. “This song was written out of desperation,” says Fister. “We could never grasp the pain of those outside of our race, sexual orientation, and nationality. So what can we do? What should we do? Silence fell upon the writing room. We will use our voices and talents to extend love, peace and active support.”

This emotional song is somber and acoustic, which sets the tone for Fister’s soft and distressed vocals and powerful lyrics. “We have ears to listen. We have hands to help. We have voices to raise the decibel of your needs and share your stories. And we understand, we will never understand. I believe in music more than anything. Music can change the world.”

After quickly gaining momentum with her debut release Hell Raiser followed by her last single SCARS, this tatted artist is well on her way to showcasing her “psychedelic honky-tonk sass,” style. With her bright pink hair bouncing around on stage, her sassy banter, distressed yet powerful vocals and edgy guitar licks, she describes her sound as “sassy, honest, raw and healing.”

While she is slowly getting back out on the road performing in front of a socially-distance crowd, she is also continuing to interact with her fans on a regular basis across her social media platforms. Whether she is performing her own Facebook Live shows or joining in on other pages or even doing Instagram takeovers, there is still something about being on that stage and seeing her fans one on one, singing to her songs, that she misses. “There’s nothing like being on that stage and interacting with my fans. Yes, we can do some of that on social media, and I’m very thankful for that, but I’m ready to get back out on the road full time.”
