We are pleased to release our first annual edition dedicated solely to Women of Color titled “I Belong.” Gracing our covers are April Kae, Guitar Gabby, and Celisse. This special edition is brought to you by Guitar Gabby, who has been a contributing editor for Guitar Girl Magazine since 2018 conducting product reviews and providing tips in her Being a Boss column. We recently asked Gabby to help in our diversity and inclusion efforts as our Diversity Editor.

Inside we have gathered a great group of guitarists and business leaders to introduce to our readers. In our Inside the Industry section, meet Lindsay Love from Taylor Guitars, Joy Pratcher from One on One Productions, and author Sikivu Hutchinson. For artists, learn more about Guitar Gabby and her creative collection The Txlips Band, LLC, GhettoSongBird, Aliah Guerra, Cécile Doo-Kingué, Sunny War, Melanie Jag, Divinity Roxx, Morgehenna, Shevonne Philidor, Curly Hendo, Celisse, Deekah Roxx, April Kae, IMANIGOLD, Phoenix van der Weyden, and Zandy Mowry. When it comes to Carrying the Torch for Black Girl Magic, Gabby tapped into the talents of Jennale Adams, Ashilee Roberts, aka “Ashilee Ashilee,” Netta Sherrell, and Alena Ciera, all of whom were featured on our website for Black History Month. In our Tone Talk section, artists Chena Roxx, Genny Jam, Isielle Johnson, aka “Ice,” and Tasha Marie talk guitar tone, guitar gear, recording and practice techniques, and advice for aspiring female-identifying musicians.

NOTE: As this is a Special Edition, it is not included as part of our Annual Subscription which is for four quarterly editions released in Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.
