2x GRAMMY-winning songwriter Natalie Hemby has continued to deliver some of music’s top hits from artists like Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, Sheryl Crow and many others. Billboard says she is “one of Nashville’s strongest creative figures,” and yesterday (8.19), she came into the spotlight, earning recognition as the Female Songwriter of the Year for the 2021 MusicRow Awards.
The award comes ahead of Hemby’s sophomore record ‘Pins and Needles,’ out October 8th via Fantasy Records. The new album showcases her “trademark wit and recognizable twang with the early nineties’ alt-rock sounds” (Garden & Gun).
Next Friday (8.27), she’ll share “Radio Silence,” the third song released from the album following the “thumping” (Rolling Stone) cautionary tale “Heroes” and the Brothers Osborne co-write “Pins and Needles.”
