Fender® Expands Accessories Line with New Gig Bags, Guitar Necks, Tuners

Available July 2017, 12 New Gig Bag Models Feature “Distinctly Fender” Silhouette, Wide Variety of Durability and Protection For All Players

HOLLYWOOD, CALIF. (July 13, 2017) – Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) adds new gig bag, guitar neck and tuner models to its growing selection of accessories at Summer NAMM 2017 in Nashville, Tenn. Among the highlights are two versatile, dual-hinge clip-on tuners and seven guitar necks spanning all eras of Fender’s rich history, as well as 12 stylish gig bags for electric guitar, bass and dreadnought acoustic guitars with a new, “uniquely Fender” design silhouette.

With a wide range of options valued from $39.99 to $129.99, Fender’s new gig bags have something for every player: durable protection outside, including custom molded bumpers in critical areas; adjustable neck rests; a custom fit tailored for Fender instruments; and microfiber interiors that won’t harm an instrument’s finish. The internal and external strap button protection system will prevent damage from the most common type of fall: when a guitar is dropped on its strap button.

New necks for Summer NAMM give players the chance to upgrade their rig with genuine Fender parts from all eras of Fender’s illustrious history. The expanding variety of neck options allows hobbyists to mix and match while coloring their own distinct tone. FT-1 and FCT-2 multi-function clip-on tuners offer a versatile physical design, full-color or two-color LCD display options, along with five tuning modes all in one: chromatic, guitar, bass, violin and ukulele. Compatible with any instrument headstock, both models feature an easier-to-read display and a dual-hinge design, so the tuner can be seen from any angle or side of the body.

“Accessories are vital to any playing experience; as such we’re continuing to expand and improve these tools to support players at any stage of their musical journey – from redesigning gig bags and our best-selling, clip-on tuners, to expanding the selection of genuine necks,” said Richard Bussey, Director, Product Development – Accessories and Amplifiers. “Our new line of gig bags have been redesigned to last the long haul, making sure gear gets to the gig safe and sound – whether you’re a first-time player or a touring road warrior.”
